Cricket betting at v baji — bet across every format from T20 to Test
Bet on multiple markets including toss, match winner and top batsman in BPL, IPL and international cricket — all in one place.
Three formats of cricket and Bangladesh's favourite tournaments
Cricket is Bangladesh's most popular sport — and v baji lets you bet on every format. Each of the three formats works a little differently for betting, so it is worth understanding them.
T20 is the fastest format. In just 20 overs the result can swing at any moment, making T20 the most active for live betting. Scoring 20–25 runs in a single over in a BPL or IPL match is normal — and that is what makes the market so dynamic.
ODI, or One Day International cricket, is a 50-over game. There is more tactical contest between the two sides — maintaining run rate through the middle overs, power hitting in the death overs — and the market shifts at each stage. ODI matches in the T20 World Cup and ICC tournaments attract the most attention here.
Test cricket is a five-day game — it requires patience and an ability to read the situation. Test markets include not only match winner but also draw, because rain or pitch conditions can change the outcome at any point.
BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) generates the most buzz among local cricket fans every year. IPL is held in India but draws strong interest from Bangladeshi viewers as well. The T20 World Cup and other ICC tournaments are also regularly available on v baji.
Football and other sports betting
Alongside cricket, v baji also lets you bet on football. Football has three possible outcomes — team A wins, team B wins, or a draw — so the market works differently from cricket. In limited-overs cricket a draw is generally not possible, so the market splits between two outcomes. Football also offers markets such as number of goals, half-time score, and both teams to score.
v baji also offers betting on other sports, but cricket and football remain the main draw for Bangladeshi users.
Popular betting markets — how each one works
Match Winner
The simplest market — pick which team will win the match. In T20 and ODI there are only two outcomes: team A or team B. Example: in a T20 between team A and team B, you bet on team B — if team B wins you win, if they lose your entire stake is gone.
Toss Market
A bet on which team will win the toss. This is unrelated to the match result — it is a completely separate market. Toss market prices are usually roughly equal for both teams. This bet is settled before the match begins.
Top Batsman
A bet on which batsman will score the most runs for a specific team. Example: who will be the highest scorer for team A — each batsman has their own odds in this market. An in-form opener usually carries lower odds.
Total Runs Over / Under
A bet on whether the total runs in an innings or the full match will be above (over) or below (under) a set number. Example: over/under 160 for team A's innings — this decision is informed by pitch and weather conditions. In handicap markets the question is whether the result will fall within a set run or wicket margin, but no specific stake or return example is given there.
Top Bowler
A bet on which bowler will take the most wickets in the match. Pace or spin depending on the team — odds in this market shift according to pitch type. On a spin-friendly pitch, a spinner's odds shorten.
Multi Bet (multiple selections)
Combining multiple matches or markets into a single bet. The odds of each selection are multiplied, so a winning return can be much higher — but if one selection is wrong the entire bet is lost. Example: a ৳100 multi bet across three matches — all three must win for the full return. Three decimal odds of 1.50 × 1.60 × 1.90 = approximately 4.56 — maximum return ৳456 on a ৳100 bet, but all three must win.
Betting Exchange
On an exchange you can bet not only for a result but also against one. BACK means betting in favour of an outcome, LAY means betting against it. Commission applies on the exchange.
Reading odds — decimal, fractional and American
Odds can be confusing at first because they are written in three different formats. v baji generally uses decimal format, but understanding the other formats helps when reading odds on international sites or in the media.
The table below shows the same value in all three formats:
| Format | Value (team A wins) | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | ৳3 total return per ৳1 staked (stake included) |
| Fractional | 2/1 | ৳2 profit per ৳1 staked |
| American | +200 | ৳200 profit on a ৳100 bet |
Example 1 — outsider bet
Team A to win, ৳500 stake. Decimal odds 3.00 = fractional 2/1 = American +200.
Win: total return ৳1,500 (৳1,000 profit + ৳500 stake).
Lose: full ৳500 is gone.
Team A / Team B
Example 2 — favourite bet
Team B to win, ৳500 stake. Decimal odds 1.50 = fractional 1/2 = American -200 (negative odds means how much you need to stake to make ৳100 profit).
Win: ৳750 returned (৳250 profit).
Team A / Team B

Live in-play betting — odds shift the moment a wicket falls
Live betting means placing bets while a match is in progress — and in cricket it is especially engaging because the situation can change completely within a single over.
When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds increase immediately. Conversely, after a six the bowling team's odds shorten. This way market prices keep changing with every ball and over.
In ODI, if the batting team is in a strong position after the powerplay, their match winner odds will shorten. In Test cricket, if the pitch breaks up on day three or four, spinners become more likely to succeed — and that is reflected in the top bowler market.

Rushing in live betting increases the chance of poor decisions. Keep your budget in mind before placing any bet.
Some practical tips for cricket betting
Choose your market based on the format
Scores change quickly in T20 — it suits live betting. In Test, match winner and draw markets exist side by side, making decisions more complex. Focus on the format you understand best.
Be careful with multi bets
Combining multiple selections increases returns but also increases risk. If any selection in a multi bet is wrong, the full stake is lost. Three decimal odds of 1.50 × 1.60 × 1.90 = approximately 4.56 — maximum return ৳456 on a ৳100 bet, but all three must win.
Set your budget first
Before each session, decide how much money you are willing to spend on betting and stick to it. Betting is a form of entertainment — it should not be treated as a source of income. Read the responsible gaming guidelines for more.
Start with small bets on new markets
When betting on the top batsman or bowler market for the first time, start with a small stake. Once you understand how the market works, making decisions becomes easier.
Read the terms and conditions
Before placing a bet, read v baji's terms and conditions once. Knowing when a bet can be voided or how settlement works for an abandoned match will save confusion later.
